Our Mission
To provide stable, high-quality working dogs specifically engineered to meet the operational demands of truffle farmers. Having personally handled and hunted orchards for over a decade, I understand exactly what a dog needs to succeed in the field, with a core focus on thoughtfully matching each dog to the right handler for long-term success. Alongside this, I am available to develop external clients' dogs, provided they pass a suitability.
This venture is driven by the growing need for reliable, high-calibre working dogs across the truffle and scent detection sectors. Over a decade of hands-on industry experience has provided deep insight into what makes a successful working dog, creating an opportunity to share that knowledge and help others elevate their own dogs' performance in the field.
Frequently Asked Questions
Usually the dog and handler will set off on the rows that need harvesting. Depending on the weather/environmental conditions, the team usually covers each row of trees. Owners or guests are welcome to follow along behind the team. We do ask that people don't interfere with the dog working and stay a little distance back for the working team to ensure that the dog isn't disturbed and, if there is an environmental change, it can be picked up by the dog without being interrupted

Owner/Head Trainer
Teneka has built an exceptional, dual-track career that bridges high-level assistance dog development and specialised scent detection. Since 2013, she has served as the core architectural force behind the dog training division of Defence Community Dogs (DCD).
Operating within a correctional facility environment, she initially designed and implemented the organisation’s advanced training methodology from the ground up. She managed the logistics, husbandry, and protocols for up to 14 Labradors at a time. Under her direct supervision as Dog Training Manager, the program has earned a stellar national reputation for producing elite-tier assistance dogs specifically trained to mitigate the complex symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression for veterans.
In parallel with her assistance dog work, Teneka has operated continuously within the commercial truffle industry across Australia's Central West region since 2012. Managing a dedicated team of four working dogs, she coordinates and executes systematic harvesting operations across multiple commercial properties.
